Summary

I absolutely adored this book！ It was super hard to be torn away because it was super entertaining from start to end。 I definitely did not expect to laugh so much， be shocked with super descriptive language， and of course swoon over a stoic minotaur who grew to be a wet-dream。Violet and Rourke are complete opposites， not just in the obvious way （complete different species） but even in personalities and demeanor。 He has this very Alpha dom aura and she has a ready-to-please， a bit too insecure of I absolutely adored this book！ It was super hard to be torn away because it was super entertaining from start to end。 I definitely did not expect to laugh so much， be shocked with super descriptive language， and of course swoon over a stoic minotaur who grew to be a wet-dream。Violet and Rourke are complete opposites， not just in the obvious way （complete different species） but even in personalities and demeanor。 He has this very Alpha dom aura and she has a ready-to-please， a bit too insecure of herself， kind of attitude。 Violet needs positive reinforcement and constant pep talks， from others but mostly from herself。 The internal dialogue she has going on is often hilarious and super quirky。 She second guesses everything and is always waiting for the other show to drop。 Yet despite this， she has a tiny Violet inside that wishes and hopes for the very best。 Rourke is a self-made business man and oozes confidence， seems to have his life together， expect he keeps coming back for more。 Violet wonders， what is it about such an impressive male， who is way out of her reach， that has him coming back for more of her 'milking' services。I loved the slow burn and loved how the author kinda kept us satisfied with so much filthy daydreaming （Violet was constantly inspired by Rourke's weekly sessions） while we waited with bated breath for the burn。 We see Violet start off with a defeatist mentality and emerge with a positive attitude， not only about her work but about finding someone with whom she can share a joyful existence。 Yes， once the burn starts it is sinfully delicious but be aware that the slow burn is rather extensive but oh so worth it when it starts。 Only one thing I would say I didn't enjoy- I wasn't sure when Violet was referencing a 'daydream/fantasy' and when she was back in 'real time'。 There were so many times when Violet broke out into her own headspace and while the descriptive language/ scene were much appreciated， sometimes I wasn't sure what or when she was recalling， and I had to go back and re-read to make sure I was following。 I highly recommend this if you are looking for a quirky， steamy， totally original inter-species romance。 I can't wait for the next book of the series and for more milking :D 。。。more
